Whether you are in an individual conversation with a friend, family member or co-worker or in a group with many more people, the truth is that we end up forwarding files or end up receiving files from other users where the title that comes by default does not exactly explain what is received.
So WhatsApp wants to end misunderstandings with forwarded files, and is preparing the ability to add a description to forwarded images, videos, GIFs and documents in the application.
The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, specifically version 2.23.8.22, anticipates that the application is releasing the ability to add a description to images, videos, GIFs and forwarded documents.
As can be seen in the screenshot provided by wabetainfowe will be able to add a custom description, in this case, to an image, removing its current title.

This is really useful, because in the event that the title of the image does not correctly describe it, you can attach a different description.
This is how the process works
Note that when you remove the current title and add a more explanatory one of your own, this new description will be sent as a separate message so recipients know it doesn’t belong in the original message.
In this way you will be able to offer additional context to the forwarded media to explain why we are forwarding it and also share our opinion about it.
This will allow you to avoid misunderstandings or misinterpretations about what is being shared and forwarded.
Please note that this ability to create a forwarded message description is currently available to some beta testers, and not all.
In this way, even if you have the preview version of WhatsApp, you may not have the feature yet because it is being rolled out in stages.
Regarding the stable version, as usual, WhatsApp is usually quite slow to implement it, but hopefully we will have it available throughout the year for everyone.
