At WeLife we are in luck! Our well-being and sustainable lifestyle platform has been a finalist for the Awards Digital Beauty Awards (DBA) in the category of Best means of digital communication in the sector. The DBAs are the national awards for digitization and electronic commerce in cosmetics, perfumery, and personal care in Spain, which this year celebrates its third edition.
After a period of analysis among more than 400 candidacies, last Tuesday, May 16, the awards jury selected the best proposals for each of the 22 categories. The awards ceremony will take place next July 6 in the Casa Milà (La Pedrera) from Barcelona.
Among the 22 categories, these awards recognize the work of companies, institutions and professionals from the digital world and electronic commerce in the beauty sector. From the best brands to marketing campaigns, influencers or disseminators. It is an initiative promoted by the Beauty Cluster, which is the largest private association of cosmetics, perfumery and personal care in which they participate more of 230 companies and 3,000 professionals to enhance the sustainable development and competitiveness of the sector.
The awards have a jury of experts in digitization and communication of the beauty sector. Among them are Elena BorrasChief Digital & Marketing Officer of L’Oréal Luxe Spain and Portugal; camila thomasVice President of Innovation and Technology at Puig and Board Member AirParfum; Martha Panera, Director of Marketing and Communication Iberia at Foreo and member of Women In Tech Spain; Gerardo Canellas, CEO at Perfume’s Club. Specialist in the multichannel Trading of Beauty products or Marian Garcia, PhD in Pharmacy and winner of the DBA 2022 for Best Professional Disseminator; among others.
In the category in which WeLife competes, that of Best means of digital communication in the sector, The platforms Next in Beauty, Bellezapura.com, IM Farmacias and Superlativa Botanicals are also finalists.
The celebration of the DBA, for the third consecutive year, is the clear example that the beauty sector does not stop growing and offers great digital innovation. In this edition, 100 more candidacies have been added, compared to last year and, according to ivan borregodirector of the DBA, these awards are already consolidated as “the main national digitalization and e-commerce awards for the Spanish industry of cosmetics, perfumery and personal care. They have become an annual meeting point and a benchmark for all professionals who want to discover the most innovative initiatives and connect with their promoters”.
