Europe wants to become the first region to regulate Artificial Intelligence. The European Parliament has approved negotiating the first law on AI in the world to develop its potential, and, at the same time, control its risks. Discussions to approve a final text with the Twenty-seven will begin immediately, so that the law can enter into force in 2026 at the latest.
The regulation of Artificial Intelligence in the European Union is one of the matters addressed by the new delivery of ART Europe Weekly, the informative program produced by Arte that EL PAÍS broadcasts every week and that can be seen in its entirety in the video of this news item. This edition also offers a report on the rights of the LGTBIQ community and the countries that have made progress over time.
