The new functionality will allow users to view market charts of a wide range of financial instruments and buy and sell cryptocurrencies and stocks on eToro.
Today, it’s already possible to view real-time trading data from TradingView on index funds like the S&P 500 and stocks from some companies like Tesla. To do this, the “cashtags” function of Twitter is used: a ticker symbol is searched for and a dollar sign is placed before it, after which the application displays the price information from TradingView.
Thanks to the collaboration with eToro, Twitter cashtags will be expanded to cover many more instruments and asset classes.
You will also be able to press a button that says “view on eToro”, which takes you to the eToro site, and then buy and sell assets on their platform. EToro uses TradingView as a market data partner.
As we have grown tremendously in the last three years, we have seen more and more of our users engage on Twitter and learn about the markets,” said Yoni Assia, CEO of eToro.
“There is very high-quality content, real-time content about financial analysis of companies and what is happening around the world. We believe this partnership will allow us to reach these new audiences and better connect the Twitter and eToro brands.”
