Among the most demanded emerging jobs in Spain in 2022 is that of ‘data engineer’, with 1,527 publications, followed by that of ‘cloud engineer’, with 1,324. As well as the upturn in demand by companies for ‘machine learning engineer’ positions.
This is highlighted in the report ‘Radiography of Emerging Jobs in Spain’ by DigitalESwhich reveals the existence of 61 professions whose demand has increased more than triple between 2019 and 2022 in our country.
“The identification of these jobs responds to the need to generate awareness in all social agents to guide and train the professionals of the future. Continuous learning and individual and collective responsibility for training are key to the success of the transformation”, says Román Campa, CEO of Adevinta Spain.

The 61 emerging jobs collected by DigitalES, through Adevinta’s ‘Job Market Insights’ tool, are linked to innovation and technology, and have to do not only with ICT profiles but also with areas such as health, compliance data regulations, marketing and sales, among others.

Specifically, they are grouped into the following areas of activity:
Cybersecurity, cloud, artificial intelligence, data, other IT areas such as the Internet of Things, smart city, health, blockchain and QA Automation, sustainability and sustainable construction, circular economy, renewable energies, 3D modeling, bioinformatics, data and biostatistics, biomedical engineering.
As well as, European funds and digitization, financial analysis, risk analysis, blockchain, compliance, data protection, growth marketing, video games and audiovisual creation, commercial and sales (software profile), commercial and sales (cybersecurity), equality consultant, and equality teacher.
