Director Peyton Reed lived a fascinating creative experience with the realization of The Mandalorianthe original Disney+ series that featured his direction in two episodes of the second season,
For this reason, Reed decided to implement in scenes of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania the visual technology called volume StageCraft LEDdeveloped by the visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).
On a permanent StageCraft volume stage located within the studios Pinewood from the outskirts of London, Reed worked with 360° LED panels that offer smooth, high-resolution transitions on walls and ceiling.
The images projected on these panels are photorealistic. The parallax is held true, resulting in the possibility of capturing virtual worlds with cameras. Among others, the technology was used for Axia’s Restaurant, Quantum Heaven, Axia Heaven, and Quantum Jungle.
