The future regional Equality Law will place Galicia, according to the Xunta de Galicia itself, “at the forefront of a new labor culture” with an entire chapter dedicated to gender equality and digitization to “respond to the advances and the technological transformation that the job market is experiencing”.
This was confirmed this Friday by the Minister of Employment and Equality Promotion, María Jesús Lorenzana, at the closing ceremony of the V Digital Marketing – Fluorine Congress, organized by the Galician Communication Cluster in Pontevedra, and which brought together dozens of professionals for two days and experts to offer new ideas and perspectives on digital advertising, social media or marketing equality.
Lorenzana has claimed the new text, “which will regulate corporate social sustainability for the first time in a community to create egalitarian, equitable and inclusive environments.”
The statement also highlights that the bill (approved a week ago by the Xunta Council and which will now enter Parliament) “reinforces the protection of women against sexist content disseminated through information technology and communication involving illegitimate interference with the fundamental right to personal or family privacy or the image of women”.
Lorenzana also recalled other initiatives of the Ministry such as the Network of poles of entrepreneurship and support for employment, which offers different advisory services to all types of entrepreneurs, such as the implementation of marketing plans.
Galicia currently has eight active poles of the 15 that will make up the entire network. In Pontevedra, the Pontevedra Norte-Rías Baixas pole is underway, in Silleda.
