Recently there were many doubts on the part of some users about why the voice assistant of Google was nowhere to be found during the I/O conferences, which were dominated by products from artificial intelligence generative.
Google has recently reorganized the Assistant team to focus more on Bard, as reported by the CNBC. All of this has led some employees to wonder if Google plans to merge its Assistant with the chatbot.

CEO Sundar Pichai responded that there was a reason the team behind this tool was also working on Bard, before turning it over to Sissie Hsiao, Google’s head of Assistant and Bard. Hsiao suggested that the Wizard could be improved with Bard’s learnings.
“Over time, what we’ve learned will carry over to other products, so it’s something we continue to explore and learn from”he explained.

Pichai added that the company is focused on “improving Bard,” but did not comment on the Wizard’s future. Amazon is also working to relaunch its Alexa assistant with technology similar to ChatGPT, it recently reported. Business Insider.
Google’s Voice Assistant wasn’t the only product missing from I/O: Nest, the company’s line of smart home products, was nowhere to be found. Google announced the new Pixel tablet, which offers several smart home features, but the Nest name was barely uttered during the events.
