A new and impressive Lego set was released this May 23, it is about Lego Technica replica of the rovers perseverance and the Ingenuity helicopter from Mars.
It also comes with the incentive of being a STEM space themed product designed to encourage children to learn more about engineering.
The LEGO Technic model features 360° steering and swing arm, plus fully articulated suspension that allows the rover to travel across uneven surfaces on all 6 wheels. And just like its real-life counterpart, the LEGO Technic model is joined by a replica of the Ingenuity Helicopter companion mission.
“Working on this model has been challenging and exciting,” said Luke Cragin, designer at the LEGO Group. “I have always been passionate about space, and the design process allowed me to explore my interest while recreating the incredible engineering developed by the pioneering team at NASA. We hope that the model’s features and functions will help introduce young space lovers to the world of engineering and encourage them to reach for the stars in the future.”

The augmented reality app called Technic AR will give fans a holistic experience both physically and digitally. They will be able to discover exciting and educational content by learning about the real-life rover and its mission to Mars. Through the app it is also possible to get an overview of the weather on Mars on demand or learn about the environment and the rover’s mission.

Lego says the 1,132-piece set will ship June 1, except bizarrely in the United States and possibly Canadawhere it will ship on August 1.
