Like every year, you can expect a plethora of new Apple products in 2023 and everyone is waiting to know when they will finally be unveiled.
New and popular mixed reality glasses, new Macs with top Apple technology and the next generation of iphone These are just some of the things that are already expected.
In 2022, Apple has already released the iPhone 14 series, three new Apple Watches, a new set of AirPods Pro, a new 10.9-inch iPad, Mac Studio with M1 Max, M2 MacBook Air, among other updates.
So while everyone is patiently waiting for the official launch of these products, one can only speculate on what Apple has in store for this year— with views to next June 2023 at WWDC (Apple Worldwide Developers Conference)—.
iPhone 15 series
As is tradition, Apple will launch its new Iphone series. You could already see how last year the company did away with the iPhone mini with the iPhone 14 series and replaced it with a much larger iPhone 14 Plus model, so it will likely look the same line as the iPhone 14. However, there have been leaks of an iPhone 15 Ultra after Apple released its Apple Watch Ultra.
One change that can already be expected is the replacement of the Lightning port with a USB-C. In addition, there is a small possibility that Apple will incorporate Dynamic Island in all models. A new periscope camera lens is also expected on the iPhone 15 Pro models that can increase your zoom ability more than ever before.
mixed reality glasses
After several delays by Manzanathe company has finally confirmed that its augmented reality and virtual reality glasses will be released next June 2023 at WWDC (Apple Worldwide Developers Conference). According to some media, Apple has been working on these glasses since 2015.
As Bloomberg and other sources have been collecting, many of the features of these new glasses are still up in the air with few confirmations from Apple in this regard. On one side is the name and Reality Pro strongly aims to be the one with these glasses, indicating that it will be a high-end device.
Taking into account that it combines augmented reality and virtual reality, it seems quite likely that it will have an immersive design and the Apple device is expected to be completely wireless to allow freedom of movement without disturbing cables, another factor that would otherwise break the immersion.
According to a report by The Information from early 2021, there will be between 12 and 14 cameras and lidar sensors mounted on the device and it has been leaked that the device will possibly be 4K per eye, which will provide an enormous level of detail. What’s more, according to The Elec, Apple has increased its pixel-per-inch target for each eyepiece, from 2,800 pixels per inch to a whopping 3,500 ppi.
Apple WatchSeries 9
The tech giant has released a new line of smartwatches every year since 2015 and it doesn’t seem likely that this will change in 2023. However, The specifications of the new line of Apple Watch Series 9 are still not completely sure.
Of course, there is a possibility that Apple will bring the S9 chipset to power these new smartwatches.
There are also rumors that the 9 Series could feature MicroLED panels, but this massive change could take longer than expected. Other than this, Apple isn’t expected to make radical changes to the health-tracking sensors, although they could improve their capabilities.
The Apple Watch Series 9 will also introduce the new WatchOS 10. This will bring small but useful and interesting changes to the new line of Apple Watch. Of course, the characteristic of these new watches is that it is designed for extreme sports and advanced users, and it will not bet on a flat edge design. to make it much more durable and shock resistant.
New iMac with M3
Some news from industry experts are already talking about Apple is working on a new iMac with an M3 chipset. The new chip will mark the first time that “Apple is moving from 5 nanometer chip process technology to a 3 nanometer design in the Mac”according to Mark Gurman, a source specializing in Apple.
The new iMacs M3 will come with mostly internal changes. They are reportedly not expected to ship until the second half of the year, at the earliest. The M3 chip will also land in an update to the iPad Pro in early 2024, Gurman says, which will also see Apple’s tablet get an OLED screen.
Mention that the iMac was last updated in April 2021 with an M1 chip and is now almost two years old.
MacBook Pro with M2 Ultra
It is expected that the new Mac Pro features Apple’s new M2 Ultra chip, but a high-end ‘M2 Extreme’ chip has been reportedly canceled. Mark Gurman already reported that the new MacBook Pro will have the same design as the 2019 model, but it will lack user-upgradable RAM.
The report suggests it will launch between late spring and summer, which means it could be seen at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
15-inch MacBook Air
In closing, Apple it seems that it will present the largest MacBook Air so far and certain rumors say that it will measure exactly 15.2 inches. As for the design, drastic changes are not expected compared to the current model.
Bezels and a slim profile and flat edges are some of the traditional MacBook Air designs you’d expect to see in this new release. There have also been rumors of a 1080p camera, MagSafe charging, and improved speakers.
What is really expected is the chip that Apple plans to use. There have been speculations that the 15-inch MacBook Air will have the M2 and M2 Pro chips. Unfortunately, no further information has been leaked, so these are just assumptions at the moment.
