The Spanish subsidiary of the French aerospace and defense group Thales has been awarded for 4.92 million euros the supply and maintenance of the specific ‘hardware’ and ‘software’ of the Automatic Biometric Identification System (ABIS) used by the Forces and State Security Corps (FFCCSE), as it appears on the State recruitment portal and collected by Europa Press.
The award has been negotiated without publicity and as contemplated in the award resolution, the contract will be financed from the State budget.
Of the 4.92 million euros in the contract, 1.94 million euros correspond to the supply of the necessary licenses for the execution of the contract, while 2.97 million euros are related to hardware and maintenance services. ‘software’.
Thales’ offer also includes additional incident notification systems” and an administrator dedicated to the daily management and monitoring of the system.
The term of execution of the contract is 24 months from next August 8, as it appears in the documentation collected on the State contracting portal, which does not include the technical specifications of the contract.
