According to the recent AMVO report, consumers disclosed some of the Principal reasons for which they will buy during this discount season. First, they highlighted as the main reason being able to find more promotions and discounts on the internet (61%), followed by having access to better facilities or payment solutions (55%) and finally saving time (54%).
Likewise, the Mexican consumer of this edition begins to be more inclined to carry out planned purchasessince their research prior to discount seasons increased by 21% compared to 2019. In addition to this, the multi-category sites (Amazon, Mercado Libre, Linio, among others) are the main source of consultation for Mexican consumers (64%), followed by the official Hot Sale site, which shows a preference of 55%.

Other trends to watch this year
Likewise, we can observe that the most frequent online payment method will be the Credit cards, since 8 out of 10 consumers intend to do it this way. On the other hand, 36% will make their transactions through debit cards, and another 30% through departmental cards.
Regarding users who are not yet banked, the report showed that this season of discounts it will be ideal to support them through methodologies such as BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later), of which 7 out of 10 are familiar, although 4 of them Haven’t used it yet.
Another important aspect that stands out from the study is the preference among users for receiving their products at the door of their homes, while the 89% prefer home delivery.
