Add the titles of the list and the pages
The first thing to do is open a document of Excel in which you want to include the two ready dropdowns, in this case the cell A1 and B2.
In addition to the current sheet, we include three more sheets.
Add a name to each range

Click on the so-called red, and you will be able to see its content, in this case, the tones associated with the color red. Select them simply by clicking and dragging on the range A2:A7 and click right on top. Then type a name for that range and press the enter key

Add a name to the other ranges

Repeat the same process with the sheets named Blue and Green and the range dataset A2:A7 and name it and press “Enter”

Validate the data
with the three names of ranges already created, go to the tab Sheet 1 (the first of all) and click on the cell which will contain the first list.
Now if your version of Excel is 2000, 2002 or 2003, click on them Menus “Data and “Validation”. If it is a later version, you must activate the “Data” tab and click on “Data validation” and also on “Data validation…”.

In the new window that you will get, click on the Settings tab and choose the entry List.
Then in the list bottom, includes, separated by semicolons, the values that will appear available in the first list and that, in addition, they must coincide exactly with the names of range that you created in steps 2 and 3.
And press accept.
Enter the function
situate yourself in the cell where will the second list. Then access the menus of step No. 4 and after choosing the input again List Type the following function at the bottom
Hit ok, and if you get this message “The source is currently evaluating an error, do you want to continue?” click on the Yes button.

check the result
Now you can test the operation of the trick. To do this, display the first of the ready and choose with a click one of the colors that appear available.
Now when you unfold the list that is located just to the right, you will see and you will be able to choose one of the tones that are associated with that color.
