Sending files between mobile and PC is now easier: this is how Nearby Share works in Windows
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Google’s Nearby Share lands on Windows to share files between your computer and your mobile in a simple and practical way. Google has finally put the batteries and has just launched one of the most interesting features in recent years. In fact, users may have been waiting for this feature for a long time,

Google has released its Nearby Share file sharing tool for Windows devices. This means that Windows users will now be able to easily share files with their mobile devices, without the need for cables, third-party online services or messaging apps like Telegram.

Nearby Share is a Google feature first introduced on mobile devices Android in 2020. The tool allows users to share files, photos, links, and other types of content directly between devices, using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection to transfer the data.

Now this feature will also be available on Windows. The tool will be integrated into the operating system’s sharing menu, meaning users will be able to share files to their mobile devices with just a few clicks. Of course, for this it will be necessary to install the Google Nearby Share application.

You can finally send files from your mobile to your Windows computer: Nearby Share arrives

Google’s Nearby Share tool is a direct response to other file-sharing apps, like Apple’s AirDrop or ShareIt. Unlike these apps, however, Nearby Share does not require users to download additional apps or use third-party file sharing services on Android.

To use Nearby Share on Windows, users need to make sure they have the latest version of Windows 11 installed on their device. They must also have a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection enabled to use the tool. You will need to install the program, though in Spain it is still in beta so you will have to use a VPN

After installation, all you have to do is give a name to the computer you want to use. Yes indeed, file transmission is done via Bluetooth so it won’t do you any good to have the application installed if you don’t have a computer with Bluetooth connectivity. This is all, all that remains is to wait for the release Official version in Spain.
