Google TV has begun to strengthen its functions in order to offer a better experience to users, all hand in hand with the most important streaming platforms, such as RTVE Play, which has made its arrival on this platform official.
Through a release it has been confirmed that all RTVE Play content is now available on Google TVin which users will have unlimited access to the entire library of the service.
This means that the series, movies, documentaries and featured content will be accessible from a television with this operating system, formerly Android TV, or also from a compatible Chromecast or devices such as the Xiaomi Mi TV.
But this is not all, you will also have easy access to all the original contents of the service, this includes the video podcasts and the live broadcasts of all RTVE channels.
RTVE Play is compatible with Google Assistant for content search
It is important to mention that users will be able to search for series, movies or documentaries through voice commandsfor this they will use Google Assistant, which will even help to reproduce content and other functionalities.
Alessia Di Giacomo, director of Platforms and Channels at RTVE, mentioned the following: “RTVE Play must be present in the new content distribution opportunities offered by the digital ecosystem, towards which a significant part of the television audience is moving”.
The agreement signed between Google TV and RTVE Play is the beginning of a long collaboration, which will be added to other initiatives developed by both companies, especially in the field of content digitization.
From now on, people who make use of RTVE Play have a new way of viewing their favorite content, and best of all, makes it easy to search across all devices with Google TV built-in, whether they’re TVs, smart boxes, or Chromecast.
The Google TV system, formerly Android TV, is getting better every day, adding new features and ways to display content. Gone are the recommendations, but soon you will be able to watch more than 800 free television channels.
RTVE Play on Google TV joins other streaming platforms with similar content, such as Plex, Tubi or Pluto TV, where users have access to all kinds of content just a click away.
