Together For Safer Roads, a non-governmental organization that seeks to improve the road safety of the flotillasannounced the expansion of its “Truck of the Future” program to Mexico City.
To this end, it allied with Grupo Modelo, a beer production and distribution company, and VisionTrack, a video-telematics provider with artificial intelligence and connectivity vehicle data.
The announcement occurred within the framework of the UN’s Seventh World Road Safety Week, which was held from May 15 to 21.
The program was developed to improve road safety by providing state-of-the-art hardware and software that offers vehicles better blind spot detection and visibility.
The goal of the program is to improve safety not only for drivers, but also for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.
The purpose is to get one step closer to “Vision Zero” of road accidents.

What will the Grupo Modelo fleet be like?
Grupo Modelo joins the New York Municipal Department of Administrative Services (DCAS) for this purpose.
This is the first fleet of the private initiative to participate in a pilot of the program.
Each program participant will select 10 vehicles to retrofit with the “Truck of the Future” hardware and software.
