Until now, when we want to add or edit contacts from WhatsApp we are redirected to our app contactswhich made us lose a few valuable seconds, especially if we had an open conversation.
Thanks to the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, we are now going to be able to add or edit contacts without having to leave the application. wabetainfo.
In this way, although WhatsApp currently offers us a direct access to add or edit contacts, we are redirected to the contacts application on our device.

This new function will allow us to add contacts or edit them directly within WhatsApp, so we will no longer have to switch between applications, saving us a few very valuable seconds.
Also valid for unknown numbers
And we will also be allowed to add unknown numbers to our contact list when they communicate through WhatsApp, and without switching to the contacts application.
Adding or editing a contact within WhatsApp will only take a few seconds, but having to switch to the contacts application and then having to return to WhatsApp takes more time.
At the moment this new functionality to add or edit contacts within the WhatsApp application to Android it is available to a small set of beta testers of the application, so there is still a while before it reaches a stable version.
