This Tuesday, May 23, the 2023 edition of Microsoft Build began, an event in which the company announced that Bing will be integrated into ChatGPT as the default search experience within the bot powered by OpenAI.
This means that, from this integration, ChatGPT users will receive results for their queries from Bing, which moreover promise to be more relevant, updated and accurate, since these come from the broad portfolio of information that exists on the Internet.
In practicefor ChatGPT users this means that their capabilities will grow to even carry out certain actions such as reservations or purchases on behalf of users with more context information.

With this announcement, according to specialized technology portals, Microsoft demonstrates its intentions to turn its functions, assets and platforms into bridges through which its users can expand access to the benefits that artificial intelligence offers today.
As reported by the Wired portal, from Microsoft they assured that they are adopting the open standard of plugins that OpenAI uses for ChatGPT in the creation of the complements for Copilot and Bing Chat. That is to say, for users it will be possible to use the same extensions in all three tools powered by AI systems. For Microsoft, thanks to this “interoperability is improved” in ChatGPT.

About the availability of this Bing to ChatGPT integration, it is already available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers, while for free users of the chatbotMicrosoft has promised that it will release a plugin “soon” to access the Bing experience in ChatGPT.
