Mercedes Benz already has in Colombia two of the vehicles of the new line of electric cars that are identified with the letters EQ. These are the EQE sedan, which corresponds in size and equipment to the current E-Class, and the EQA electric van, equivalent in the same way to the GLA. Here are its main features.
Mercedes Benz EQA, the electric SUV
- This electric pickup truck debuted in 2021 and since then it has become the entry-level electric vehicle in the EQ line, both in terms of price, size and equipment. In size and exterior shape it is the equivalent of the GLA station wagon.
- The version that has two electric motors and that gives it 288 HP and 500 Nm of torque with a range of autonomy of up to 430 km per charge arrived in Colombia. In addition, it has 4Matic all-wheel drive and the possibility of configuring the system either in 2×4, 4×2 or 4×4 mode.
- It comes with an 11 kW on-board charger as standard and can be charged with a maximum power of 100 kW at a DC fast charging station. When connected to a fast charger, the EQA can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
- Aesthetically, it differs from the GLA in that its grill is closed and black, it sports full LED headlights, LED stops also joined by a LED strip, new bumpers, exclusive series wheels and blue accents on the body.
Mercedes Benz EQE, the electric sedan
He Mercedes EQE debuted at the Munich Motor Show, also in 2021 and these are its main keys:
- Like the EQA pickup that is the same size as the GLA, in the case of the sedan, the electric variant ‘traces’ its proportions.
- It has an electric motor, in a drive configuration from the rear axle, which gives it 288 HP and 535 Nm of torque and a 90.6 kWh battery.
- It has a range of up to 600 km per charge on the WLTP cycle under ideal conditions and charge times from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes with a fast DC charger.
- The EQE Sedan is available with adaptive air suspension and four-wheel steering as options, not standard.
- In terms of aesthetics, the EQE sedan has features more similar to those of the EQS, which is the equivalent of the epitome of luxury, the S-Class, and as in the case of the previous truck, it has a closed black grill, lights and stops. in leds, the latter also joined by a beam of light. The wheels are also specific to this line of electric vehicles.

Both electric vehicles are manufactured in the United States for this side of the planet and their launch prices are:
- Mercedes Benz EQA – 340,000,000 pesos
- Mercedes Benz EQE – 440,000,000 pesos.
