(CNN Radio Argentina) — Leandro Di Persiabioengineer, PhD in engineering, CONICET researcher and director of the Artificial Intelligence engineering program at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, spoke this Tuesday with Nacho Girón on CNN’s La Mañana and said that “it’s natural for the AI to be a little scared.”
“It is natural that you are a little afraid because these things can have a negative effect,” explained the expert on CNN Radio, while clarifying: “Something that we have to do from civil society is put in the balance what are the good uses and the bad uses of AI”.
DiPersia added: “I can’t tell you what will happen 10 years from now because it is advancing very quickly”and when referring to the scope of Artificial Intelligence, he remarked that “there are things that we do that there is no way to replicate.”
“We need to analyze and regulate what things are allowed to be released to the general public, what uses are acceptable and what are not,” he said.
And he concluded: “Instead of worrying, what you have to do is take care of yourself.”
