Google Drive is updated: no more not knowing where you have a file
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Google Drive It is one of the most important and interesting applications of Google. Different types of files can be stored in it to be able to access them from anywhere in the world. So far the application has been substantially improved, although now a very useful change has been added.

What Google intends with the new Google Drive feature is to make it easier for users to find the files they have stored within this cloud. Yes, before you could find these files what happened had more to do with the experience. In fact, it was not at all rewarding to search for files in Google Drive.

And, it is that, knowing the exact folder in which you have a document or a video was completely impossible within Google Drive in an easy way since it forced you to have to navigate through the entire directory to find the file you were looking for. Google wanted to put an end to this through changes to its interface.

The changes come at a good time, making Google now Drive be more useful and have a more striking aesthetic. The design is inspired almost entirely by what we can see on Google’s Android mobiles, it is a design of Material You, which is the new aesthetic line of Android.

Google Drive wants you to always find what you’re looking for

The addition or, rather, additions in Google Drive are the filters found just below the main search bar. These new filters allow us to select the location in which we want to perform a search, the type of file, the people who have access to it and the date on which the last modification was made.

There is no type of file limit to carry out this search, in fact, you can search for both documents, images, videos and anything with a name that can be typed into the search box. In addition, this also allows you to know the folder in which it is located, which will make you know this location.

At the moment, the new design that comes with these filters to make searches much more efficient will only be available to Google Workspace users. Of course, after a while the new design will reach all users so you will have to be patient to enjoy this new feature in Google Drive.
