El Potrero Digital inaugurated its first learning center in Mar del Plata and will award 600 scholarships to young people to train in Digital Marketing, Art and Graphic Animation, Unreal Engine and Web Programming.
In dialogue with LU9 Radio Mar del Plata, Juan José Bertamoni, director/CEO of Potrero Digital, stated: “El potrero digital is a free network of digital trades learning centers, aimed at populations with socioeconomic barriers that almost five years has been working in different parts of Argentina and the Latin American region that to date has exceeded 10 thousand scholarships.
This entity “provides training in digital trades such as Digital Marketing, Programming, Electronic Commerce, Art and Animation, Technology Support, which today are highly demanded and competitive in the current job market. Aimed at people aged 16 and over and with training in English along with socio-productive skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, among others,” he explained.
Regarding the new space in the city, he said that “in alliance with EDEA in March and with headquarters in the Community and Energy space, former Usina de La Loma, a place with heritage and historical value for the people of Mar del Plata, we are implementing a very ambitious program , initially with 600 scholarships for the entire population of the region”.
Likewise, “on Saturdays there are workshops for initial programming of videogames and robotics to awaken digital vocations in children from 7 to 15 years old, with an online teaching team, but throughout the year we will be projecting face-to-face activities such as robotics festivals, a workshop to link the digital labor market, we are excited and it exceeded all our expectations”, he commented.
