The partnership between Discord and Elgato goes up a notch with the important update carried out in the Discord plugin for Stream Deck devices, opening a set of new possibilities, among which are some of the most demanded by users, such as improvements in audio control.
But more interesting is the fact that Elgato has also put custom hardware on the market under the Discord brand in a flashy style that they see as “adorable”. In this sense, the company has a special version of its Stream Deck and its Wave:3 microphone in a limited edition.
Major Update to Stream Deck Device Plugin
Regarding the important update of its plugin, the company puts in the first place of the list integration with the new soundboard feature, available to Nitro subscribers, whereby they will be able to arrange and link sounds to specific buttons on the device.
With the new update, the selection of audio inputs or outputs from the computer by means of a button also arrives, and it even also brings a series of notifications from the server itself in Discord to the buttons of the device.
And of course, users will have enhanced volume control as well as advanced controls for voice channels. In this way, users will have better possibilities to carry out their participation within the Discord servers.
Limited edition custom hardware
It is striking that Elgato has also opted to release special versions of its hardware under a limited edition with the Discord brand, ideal for enthusiasts of this platform, although only the external appearance changes.
Elgato has chosen to carry out the stream deck standard option customization and his Wave:3 microphone with the theme called Wumpus, and calling them Wumpus Stream Deck and Wumpus Microphone, respectively, also integrating the Discord brand with which to bring them to the market.
He is currently selling them separately at a price of $150 each.
The Elgato website indicates that the joint pack of both is out of stock, although it also indicates the price of $300, so there is no difference between buying the complete pack and buying both devices independently.
