He LegalTech map in Spainprepared by the PwC Foundation and the Fundación Mutualidad de la Abogacía with PwC Tax & Legal, allows to know the current state of the creation, evolution and integration of technologies for the legal function in law firms and the legal areas of companies .
The report offers information about the relationship between each of the cycles of the legal function with the different LegalTech. These technologies for the legal function help improve efficiency and allow the creation of new services through data analysis and artificial intelligence. Through the report, gaps that can be covered through legal entrepreneurship are identified and challenges and opportunities are detailed.
The provision of legal services by professionals in the sector is increasingly supported by legal technologies or LegalTech. These solutions promote the digital transformation of the legal function, providing greater efficiency in the processes and offering new opportunities both for law firms and for legal departments in companies and, ultimately, also for the final recipients of services. Fundación Mutualidad Abogacía and Fundación PwC have jointly prepared this report in which they show the conclusions of a research project on the ecosystem of LegalTech solutions in Spain.
Through this report on the LegalTech Map in Spain, the following objectives are intended to be achieved:
• Draw an aggregate map of LegalTech actors and their role in this ecosystem.
• Obtain and analyze a vision of the current situation of the LegalTech market in Spain.
• Identify opportunities in the short and medium term of the LegalTech potential in Spain.
• Share and offer results to boost the LegalTech market in Spain.
In order to obtain an updated and complete vision of the ecosystem of the LegalTech entrepreneurship in Spain, during the conceptual phase of the preparation of this report, specialized publications from recent years were reviewed. From reading these documents, specific current issues were defined on which to focus research, such as female entrepreneurship, solutions and innovation in the LegalTech sector, and existing trends.
