Apple would be considering continuing with its price increase escalation in the top-of-the-range generations, that is, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to a new report published by the Bloomberg agency. If you want more details about this new movement by Apple, keep reading that we will tell you everything.

New and high prices of the iPhone 15

Currently, the price of the iPhone 14 Pro is priced at 1,300 euros and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, 1,471 euros. The entry models are priced at 1,009 euros and 1,159 euros respectively. According to 9to5Mac, despite the price increase, Apple has had some total sales of 85 million devices. A very interesting figure and that, thanks to the increase in prices, the Californian company has seen a income increase derived from this segment.

Apple, at a meeting with the company’s shareholders, the company’s CEO Tim Cook suggested that customers are willing to make a biggest sacrifice to get an iPhone. In other words, people are willing to finance or save for more months to acquire an iPhone and that is the reason why Tim Cook considers it appropriate raise prices. The strategy is clear: every product must be sold at the highest possible price.

for now, There is no data on what the official price will be that the company puts its new generation of devices, but it is expected that it will not be as high as what happened in the previous generation. It is possible that the price increase will be between 50 and 70 dollars, a small increase, but important due to the price that the device already has.

  • iPhone 15 Pro: €1,380-€1,400
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max: 1517-1600 euro.

Why is Apple raising prices?

Despite Cook’s strategy, it appears that other motives by which Apple is forced to raise the price of the units. Specifically, we refer to all the news that the new iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will incorporate, as can the USB-C connector, and the new rear camera module, with the incorporation of the periscope, which provides a greater range of optical zoom.

We also have to add that the bevel production process, thinner and which would have caused numerous production problems due to the complex technology it requires, which could lead to a supply shortage at launch. Hence, Apple with a higher price wants to reduce the waiting time because it will take people longer to renew their iPhone.

Another reason why Apple will raise the price is due to the new chip for iPhonethe A17 Bionic, manufactured in a 3nm manufacturing process, a new technology that includes new production processes and Apple, being a pioneer in it, wants to profit from it.

By way of conclusion, the writing team of La Manzana Mordida considers that the price of the iPhone 14 Pro is already high, therefore, continuing to increase its price may reach a point where users simply cannot buy it. Apple has been breaking revenue records quarter after quarter, but everything has a limit.
