The Android development cycle is quite predictable, in fact, we always see two Developer Preview versions and then the first public beta arrives.
With this version, anyone who has a Pixel 4a or later mobile will be able to install it on their terminal and start testing the new features.
for now You will not be able to try Android 14 if you do not have a Google Pixel mobile. For now there is no support for third-party mobiles and, of course, now is the time for developers to test compatibility with the new operating system and Google to polish last-minute bugs in it.
The largest manufacturers in the Android market are working on compatibility with their new generation mobiles, but we will not see the arrival of Android 14 to non-Google mobiles until well into the year.
It doesn’t seem like there are many improvements or news about Android 13, at the moment, but let’s take a look.
What’s new Android 14 Beta 1
Not many new features in this beta versionis the reality from the point of view of the end user apart from two updates in the user interface.
The first one is a new arrow back. According to Google, the gestural navigation experience in the operating system now displays a prominent back arrow when interacting with an app to improve visibility and usability.
This arrow in question will also aesthetically adapt to the wallpaper or theme of the device.
Another novelty is that developers will be able to add custom actions to share menumaking this part smarter.

At the moment there are not many more novelties described, although it is worth noting the language support per app rather than just the global system.
We hope to learn more about Android 14 and its new features at the next Google I/O to be held next May.
