From May 17 to 19, 2023, at Expo Guadalajara, these two B2B business platforms will bring visitors and professional buyers closer to the latest technological trends in agribusiness, fishing, and aquaculture available in the Mexican market.
At the opening ceremony, Bernd Rohde assured that the accelerated growth of the population in Mexico forces the country to increase its agricultural and aquaculture productivity in the coming decades through the use of technologies associated with industry 4.0.
“In 2050, Mexico will have around 150 million inhabitants. To feed this large population every day, the country must increase its agricultural and aquaculture productivity. One of the keys to achieving this goal of food self-sufficiency is to invest in more technology,” Rohde said.
In addition, he explained that advanced tools and equipment for digitalization, automation, robotics, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, 3D printing, augmented reality and blockchain will be displayed on the exhibition floor to make productive processes in the field more efficient, profitable and sustainable. and the sea.

Rohde said that the first editions of Agro Tech México and World Seafood Industry will position the state of Jalisco as the national epicenter to trigger the technological investments required by the country’s agribusiness and aquaculture.
For his part, Gustavo García agreed that Mexico must strengthen its technological, innovation and research capacities to guarantee its food self-sufficiency and maintain its leadership in the production and export of food. “The Fourth Industrial Revolution is advancing by leaps and bounds in all markets, including agriculture and aquaculture. Mexico cannot be left behind and must accelerate its transition to the digital age”, he pointed out.
