As part of this afternoon’s PlayStation Showcase, Jim Ryan and PlayStation confirmed the rumors that had been brewing for months with the presentation of a portable peripheral, capable of playing PS5 games remotely, named Project Q.
Beyond a general proof of concept, little was shared in the way of specs, but soon after, as part of a press release, Sony delved into some specific features.
In essence, Project Q is the modern incarnation of the Remote Play feature that already had the PS Vitaand will allow you to play, remotely, any compatible title, installed on your PS5, using Wi-Fi 2:
- 8 inch LCD screen
- Resolution up to 1080p
- 60 frames per second
- adaptive triggers
- haptic feedback
- No support for VR games
